My Heel Eerste Haikoe (Haiku)

Sover ek verstaan is Haiku ‘n vorm van Japanese digkuns, wat wêreldwyd in vele tale beoefen word.

Anders as van ons meer bekende digvorms is een van Haiku se reels dat dit nie rym nie.  Dis een gedagte wat ‘n Wat, Waar en Wanneer bevat en in 3 lyne ondermekaar geskryf word. Die volgende reels geld ook, alhoewel sommige tale meer moderne, unieke vorme van Haiku bekendstel.

‘n Haikoe bestaan uit 17 lettergrepe…

  • Lyn 1: bevat 5 lettergrepe
  • Lyn 2: bestaan uit 7 lettergrepe
  • Lyn 3:  5 lettergrepe

Aanvanklik het Haiku temas die natuur beskryf, emotief.  Maar – en hierdie maak my kreatiewe hart vrolik – daar is spasie vir groei, ontwikkeling en innovasie.

Dit het my ‘n redelike tydjie gevat om my eie eerste Haikoe in Afrikaans te skryf.  Hoe ‘reg’ dit is weet ek nie.  Maar dit voel reg, en lekker.  Ek deel dit graag hier met jou.

LollasThingz …. Where am I heading?

During our usual Sunday morning chat, I openly shared with my Ingelsman that the current season I find myself in is probably one of the most difficult phases of my life.

While I have so much to be thankful for (#blessedIam) – and I am – I find myself in a slump where I’ve honestly lost my sense of purpose, belonging and direction.

And the constant analyzing, 🤔 thinking and over-thinking has sent me into a whirlpool-spiral where I seem to be trapped.

Like with everything else in life, this sticky situation must have a solution. I am sure that this leads to a wonderful revelation – a new start and a continuous rich and grand journey.

So while I have been feeling (for quite some time now) -and still feels – buggered, jaded and jammed, I also consciously embrace this juncture for what it is.

I am bushed but blessed. I am not a giver-upper. Let the growth and learning continue!
